Laser hair removal is one of the most commonly done cosmetic procedures in the U.S. It beams highly concentrated light into hair follicles. Pigment in the follicles absorb the light. That destroys the hair.

Precision. Lasers can selectively target dark, coarse hairs while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged.

Speed. Each pulse of the laser takes a fraction of a second and can treat many hairs at the same time. The laser can treat an area approximately the size of a quarter every second. Small areas such as the upper lip can be treated in less than a minute, and large areas, such as the back or legs, may take up to an hour.

Predictability. Most patients have permanent hair loss after an average of three to seven sessions.

How to Prepare for Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is more than just ''zapping'' unwanted hair. It is a medical procedure that requires training to perform and carries potential risks. Before getting laser hair removal, you should thoroughly check the credentials of the doctor or technician performing the procedure.

If you are planning on undergoing laser hair removal, you should limit plucking, waxing, and electrolysis for six weeks before treatment. That's because the laser targets the hairs' roots, which are temporarily removed by waxing or plucking.  PLEASE SHAVE THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT!

You should also avoid sun exposure for six weeks before and after treatment. Sun exposure makes laser hair removal less effective and makes complications after treatment more likely.

What to Expect During Laser Hair Removal

Just before the procedure, your hair that will be undergoing treatment will be trimmed to a few millimeters above the skin surface. Usually topical numbing medicine is applied 20- 30 minutes before the laser procedure, to help with the sting of the laser pulses. The laser equipment will be adjusted according to the color, thickness, and location of your hair being treated as well as your skin color.

Lip blushing is a type of semipermanent cosmetic tattooing procedure achieved by depositing pigments in your lips using small needles.

While also sometimes called lip tattooing this is more of a cosmetic enhancement rather than traditional tattoo art. 

Lip blushing focuses on altering both color and shape to create a younger looking lip.

Everyone’s lips are different, and there’s no one standard of beauty. But if you would like to change the appearance or color of your lips, you may be interested in lip blushing.

A lip blushing procedure is similar to lip tattooing. It’s accomplished in the following way:

1. First, your provider will numb your lips so that you’ll feel less pain and discomfort.
2. While you’re waiting for the numbing agent to take full effect, your provider will go over your desired lip shape and tone, as well as any sketches that need your approval.
3. Next, they’ll insert a natural-looking pigment into your lips using small needles. This is done in multiple layers to help create an even tone.
4. In all, the process can take between 1 and 3 hours.

Your provider will apply a numbing product to your lips beforehand to help minimize pain and discomfort.

The lower your pain tolerance, the more discomfort you might feel. However, some people may not feel much pain at all. You may consider taking acetaminophen before your appointment to decrease your chances of feeling pain.

Avoid taking naproxen, ibuprofen, or aspirin beforehand, as well as supplements like fish oil, garlic, gingko, and vitamin E — these can increase bleeding and bruising.

Lip blushing is considered a semipermanent procedure. This means you’ll need to repeat the process every few years to maintain your results.

Frequent lip exfoliation, sun exposure, and smoking can all make the pigment fade quicker.

 If you are a candidate for Bellafill®, you will first need a skin test. After 24 hours, as long as you do not have an adverse reaction, you will be cleared for treatment with Bellafill®. Topical anesthetic and/or injectable local anesthetic may be administered. The treatment sites will be cleansed and the Bellafill® will be injected into the treatment areas using fine cannulas and/or needles.  The area of injection is usually massaged afterwards to allow the Bellafill® to evenly disperse. 

 NOVATHREADS- A beautiful and healthy face has a "V-shape". With the aging of tissues and the action of gravity, this "V-shape" gets lost. Until recently, the only way to address problems caused by facial skin laxity—such as jowls and drooping cheeks—was facelift surgery. With NovaThreads, temporary sutures are used to produce a subtle but visible "lift" in the skin by creating a scaffolding that supports the tissues and keep them in the "V-shape". This has the effect of pulling the skin back slightly, lifting and tightening the face. 

 A Nova Thread lift is exactly what it sounds like. Using absorbable sutures, skin can lift and the mid and lower face can be re-contoured. The sutures are inserted into the skin and can instantly tighten and lift problem areas with volume loss like the cheeks, jowls, lips and neck, while stimulating the body to build collagen in the area where the sutures are placed. Before starting treatment, our expert injector will examine your face and discuss your goals to determine if NovaThreads is right for you. During the treatment, a tiny preloaded needle is used to guide the sutures into place under the skin. Your injector then leaves the thread beneath the skin when she removes the needle. Only local anesthetic is used and there are no visible side effects after the treatment. Your skin gently reacts to the threads and begins repairing itself around the suture immediately. EUROTHREADS-   EuroThreads are resorbable surgical sutures composed of biodegradable polymers. The treatment is minimally invasive and produces instant results. Polydioxanone (PDO) sutures are used for biomedical applications, particularly in cardiothoracic surgery because it is fully absorbed by hydrolysis within 4 to 6 months and doesn’t create any scar tissue. The foreign body stimulates collagen synthesis and the skin structure created will hold for 12 to 15 months.
